Downtown New Braunfels could look a little different if plans for a boutique hotel and development are approved.
New Braunfels Utilities selected a team of developers to lead the charge on a proposal for a hotel development called the Mainzer that will sit on property in Main Plaza currently owned by the utility, the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung reports
The group, called “Team Mainzer,” consists of New Braunfels-based companies Gillum Development and Seals Family Properties as well as Houston-based builder KDW. The team will present its official proposal to the utility’s board on January 27.
Here’s what you should know about the project.
“We are locals, and we understand the importance of preserving and enhancing this important cornerstone of downtown and the history this site represents,” developer Gary Seals tells the Herald-Zeitung.
